A telescope, a rooftop, and a great deal of weather
The newest of the four, and the one that has taught me the least so far — mostly because I bought the telescope before I understood how much of it is waiting. It is the only hobby here that is genuinely outdoor work.

What will be filed here
月面The moon
The one object a city sky cannot ruin. Crater shadows along the terminator, photographed at different phases.
行星Planets
Jupiter and Saturn, which mostly means learning how bad atmospheric turbulence is before the optics ever matter.
Observation log
Date, seeing, transparency, and what was actually visible — including the nights where nothing was.
Equipment notes
What the mount does and does not track, how long the battery really lasts, and which accessory was a mistake.
The image is the easy part and the last part: a first-quarter moon over a water tower looks roughly the same from everyone's rooftop. The log is the part worth keeping, because it is the only record of what the sky actually did that night.
